Is it over yet?

Is the week over yet? I live for the weekends. I don't hate my job but i just dont want to: get up, deal with traffic, deal with the school politics, or deal the kids' issues and their fighting. I dont mind the kids if they are sitting quietly actively participating in my class, like good little children should do. I just can't stand the arguing and the constant bickering. I'm NOT a teacher!!! I am a babysitter!!!!! We are done with CAPA but now we have the pressure of the ASK test. The administration are not suspending kids becuase it makes them look bad, but how can I possibly prepare them for the test if they are constantly fooling around. I do have a few students who I make me happy. One of my students said she didn't want to go on the field trips because she wanted to stay at school and learn. I'm not sure if that was the really reason though. The next day she said ok I will go on the $7 trip. Last year many of the trips were paid for by the school. Well enough ranting about school.

How about all that grad work I have!!! I have another class besides this one and I have never done that before. Remind me not to do that again.

Well that boy I went on one date with hasn't called me in like a week. So who knows but im not calling him.

So all in all not a particulary good week.

I feel what you're saying...the weeks always go by slowly... even when it is only a 4 day week, things seem to feel like they last for so long. I think it is because we cram so much into our days ["schooldays" and free time]... as a teacher, if you think about everything you get done within a 24 hour time period, it truly is amazing....

I keep counting down until the President's Day weekend...

I "had" 2 classes this semester too..and ended up dropping the other class... I want to get my Master's and do not want it to take an eternity, but I want to remain sane too:) I wish MSU had more Reading grad classes in the summer...

We have 2 more days to go, Maybe it will get better. Don't worry about feeling the way you do, we have all felt like that. I hate getting up, but once I am here it is better( until the nonsense starts). Hold on, the weekend is almost here.
